From Kristen's landlord's website:

This is Libertarian John Finan's stance under the heading "Space Exploration:"

"As mentioned previously in this essay, it will be necessary to embrace and nurture all of our societal elements; the religions of the planet, the food, the languages, the culture, the ethnic identities. We will need it there. We will need all of these elements as we explore, populate and inhabit the cosmos. As we populate this vast space our humanity is not lost but on the contrary is there to support us as we grow peacefully together and enjoy it as one human race. Even the French. Yes, despite their deplorable soccer behavior and their abhorrent politicians they too are welcome - luckily for them they are saved through their fine wine, delicious food and beautiful woman. They must come to the cosmos with us. What would we do without their annoyance? We would miss it terribly. "

MashMeet NYC

Another MashMeet was down at the PourHouse in the East Village last night. It was a lot of fun to go down with the girls from work, Jackie & Naomi, and to meet up with blogga friends. It was a definite geek fest-- not only were there only about 7 girls there (of which we were 3), but when going to a tech part-ay, always be prepared to hear the pitch for someone's "new" app (aka: "social network thing"). Poor Jackie and Naomi got cornered within 3 seconds of setting foot inside by some guy touting FreezeCrowd--Naomi: "Oh, it sounds like Facebook" Guy: "Its totally NOT like Facebbok".....too bad they probably built it with Facebook's API and it DOES look suspiciously like, well, you guessed it. I managed to dodge the elevator pitches whilst engaged in conversation with bloja (thats blogga + ninja) friend Nicholas. Did get to meet Allen Stern which was great-- "I follow your Twitter" was the opener. Allen had pictures and a follow up this morning of the shindig. Rounded out the night with a late sushi dinner...Jackie and Naomi are hilarious and had the whole table rolling. Good times!

Glad everything is winding down a bit (only to crank back up Jan 1)...can't wait for some Cali sun and relaxation!
